Horas Family Home :: Bringing your car and driver

BRINGING YOUR CAR and DRIVER to HORAS FAMILY HOME

First of all let us state for the record that Horas Family Home is fully owned and operated by us. This means that Horas Family Home is not owned nor operated by tour operators or transporters. We have noted too many times that tour operators and transporters make promises to their guests and our guests, who are going to stay with us, with respect to what we are going to pay. We are not and will not feel bound by any such promises.

Now for bringing your car(s) and driver(s) with you to Horas Family Home there are basically only two options:

We have arranged for your Car(s) and Driver(s). Which means we know your driver(s) and your driver(s) know us.
You have arranged for your Car(s) and Driver(s).

Option 1. We have arranged for your Car(s) and Driver(s)

In this set-up in principle everything is included in your transportation costs, except entrance fees tourist attraction points, which are NOT included. You will pay the transportation costs directly to us while you are already with us.

Option 2. You have arranged for your transportation

Notwithstanding what your tour operator or transporter is promising you, on our behalf, please do note the following:

We will not meet you at the Parapat Entrance Gate and we will not pay the Parapat Gate Entrance Fees.
We may meet and welcome you at the passenger ferry harbour in Parapat but we will not pay your passenger ferry tickets.
We will not pay your car ferry costs.
We will provide food plus coffee and tea for your driver, free of charge, while with us. We will not compensate for food taken outside.
We are ready to arrange for a proper place to sleep for your driver(s) with us or elsewhere. For this we will charge Rp 150.000,-- per night (maximum 2 drivers)

Note: We do not accept a driver sleeping in his car on our property.
